Geno Smith Has A 656 YD/ 8 TD Game
Geno Smith has managed to take over the heisman conversation after his dominant game against the Baylor Bears. Smith was able to put up mind blowing numbers. West Virginia’s Senior quarterback went 45-51 passing for 656 yards and 8 touchdowns with no interceptions.
WVU And Baylor High Scoring Shootout
Geno Smith’s insane performance was much more impressive in the fact that he was involved in a shootout with Baylor’s QB Nick Florence. Florence had an impressive game him self throwing 29-47 for 581 yards, 5 touchdowns and 1 interception. This game showed that Smith is not easily shaken by pressure of a back and forth of a high scoring game.
Frontrunner For The Heisman
After a disappointing loss to Stanford, USC QB Matt Barkley, the heisman front runner before the season; left the heisman wide open. Geno Smith performance has allowed him to step up into that role. If he is able to continue this great play, the heisman is in easy reach.
