Is Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson Done In the NFL?

We all saw the captivating moment when Chad Johnson was cut by Miami Dolphins rookie coach Joe Philbin on HBO’s Hard Knocks. A moment that was arguably the most anticipated episode of the series.

After being arrested on domestic abuse charges for allegedly head butting his wife Evelyn Lozada, the Dolphins cut Johnson off the team. Johnson looked to rebound from a disappointing year with the New England Patriots. Now his chances have seem to dwindle after this incident.

The Team Who Should Consider Chad Johnson

The big question is Chad Johnson done in the NFL. If not who will possibly use the services of Chad Johnson. Johnson can help a couple of teams if he hasn’t lost a step like many believe. At the top of that lists is the New York Jets. The Jets don’t have depth at the wide receiver position. It’s so weak that corner back Antinio Cromartie is forced to the position at practice. He even considers him self the number 2 receiver on the team, and it’s hard to argue his point. Johnson can be a deep threat for this team that tends to struggle on offense.

Who Should Not Consider Chad Johnson

The team that should not take Chad Johnson is the Dallas Cowboys. The reason why doesn’t have much too do with football. The Cowboys have their own problems in receiver Dez Bryant who was recently involved a domestic incident. Chad Johnson wouldn’t be the best influence on a guy who already has developed some bad habits.

Johnson Will Be Back

I believe Chad Johnson is not done in the NFL. However he will not be picked up by a team till after the season starts. Unfortunately I believe whatever team that will take him will only be doing so if they suffer a big injury, making space for Johnson.
