The Miami Heat are the 2012 NBA Champions. Two years after the decision and two years after this team was assembled they complete their goal of winning a NBA Championship. The Heat beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in 5 games.

The Heat took control of this game from the start, ending the first half with a 10 point lead over the Thunder. But, the game was not as close as the score may have suggested. The Thunder free throws keep them in the game hitting 17 of their 18 free throw attempts.

The Heat began to pull away in the third quarter of the game. After the Thunder cut the Heat lead to 5, the Heat went on a run to put the game away. They had a 26 point lead over the Thunder with 1:23 remaining in the quarter.

After the the third quarter it was over the Heat had a game high 27 point lead in that quarter and their lead never got lower than 15.
