NBA Owners and Players Met With Federal Mediator
Tuesday Oct. 18, NBA owners and players, met for 16 hours with federal mediator George Cohen. The sides began talks at 10 am Tuesday morning and concluded after 2am Wednesday. No one from either sides, owners and players, commented on what was discussed in the longest negotiation session since the start of the lockout.
The only official statement released was from NBA spokesman, Mike Bass: “Federal mediator George Cohen has asked both sides to refrain from making public comments. Both sides have agreed.”
The sides will meet again Wednesday to continue labor talks. They look to save the rest of the season, after cancelation of the first two weeks of the NBA season.
