NHL Owners Put Their League On Life Support With Lockout

The NHL lockout has been going on for 12 days, and no substantial move to agreement has yet to happen. However sports fans are haven’t voiced their anger, aggravation or any emotions toward the situation.

NHL IS Hurting It’s Brand

The only worst thing than a lockout in sports is that no one caring about your league’s lockout. The NHL was just starting to recover from their last lockout that cost them an entire season. The fact that the lockout is not of any relevance to most sports fans is not a good sign for the NHL’s brand. Preseason games have all been canceled, and any further lost of games will hurt the NHL brand even more.

A Lost Season Is The Death Blow

They are chasing away their core fan base who stuck with them through a lost season. If the NHL loses another season, they will have to be worried about more than how $3.3 billion in revenue will be split. I don’t understand how the NHL hasn’t learned it’s lesson from the last lockout. The NHL needs to come to a decision or there will be no revenue to even share.
