Will The Philadelphia Eagles Cut Ties With Michael Vick
The Eagles are having an extremely disappointing season, for the second year in a row this team has underachieved. Michael Vick has been in the center of it with his poor play, despite the Eagles troubles being beyond quarterback play.
Critics called for Vick’s benching and to put in rookie Quarterback Nick Foles. Andy Reid hadn’t given into the critics, but was forced to start Foles after Vick suffered a concussion in a home loss against the Cowboys.
Now it has been released that Vick has failed his latest concussion tests and could likely be out for the season. However was the Nov. 11 game against the Cowboys the last time we will be seeing Vick in Philadelphia?
Eagles Should Cut Ties With Vick And Reid
My guess is yes, Vick will be gone along with coach Reid. Andy Reid is the one that brought Vick in and was his biggest supporter in the organization. The irony is that Reid seen Vick as a winning QB in the NFL when he traded his former franchise QB McNabb and his successor Kolb; however he has not used Vick correctly.
As a great of a coach Reid is he has failed miserably with this Vick experiment. He stubbornly tried to force Vick into a pocket passer in his system. Instead of creating an offense to complement Vick’s talent.
The best thing for this organization is to change the whole culture of the team. That includes parting ways with the long time coach and their franchise quarterback.
