Oakland Raiders, Honor Owner Al Davis

A day after their Owner and Hall of Famer, Al Davis passed, the Oakland Raiders took the field against the Houston Texans on Sunday, in Reliant Stadium. The team wore decals on their on their helmets to honor their late owner. The stickers on their helmets read “AL” in silver letters.

The game started with both teams observing a moment of silence to honor Davis. This was followed by a short video tribute to Davis.

The Raiders beat the Texans 25-20, behind the performance of their QB Jason Campbell who finished the game with 2 touchdowns. Campbell explained the difficulty he and his team dealt with during the game.

“We were fighting against our emotions to hold them back, but at the same time go out and win a game for him.”
