Ray Allen has decided to join the NBA Champion Miami Heat as a free agent. The news was broken by the Heat’s owner Mickey Arison via twitter.
According to Mickey Arison’s Twitter:
Ray Allen will be signing a mid level exception worth $3.09 million. The length of the deal is 3 years. He can officially sign the deal on July 11.
Allen is a perfect fit for the Heat. We seen the likes of Mike Miller, and Shane Battier shoot the lights out in the Heat’s championship run. With Allen, the Heat get the best shooter in the NBA. The driving penetration of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade is going to give the NBA’s leading three point shooter quite a few more threes to his resume.
