Ryan Howard is Reactivated from the Minors
on July 6th, 2012 at 4:08 pmRyan Howard is Expected to Start in Friday Night’s Game against the Atlanta Braves
Ryan Howard of the Philadelphia Phillies was on injury rehab with the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs for the entire Major League Baseball season. Last year, the first baseman ruptured his left Achilles tendon in Game 5 against St. Louis. He didn’t let it heal properly and the lack of care sidelined the Phillies starter. The Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, Triple-A Philadelphia Phillies affiliate about two hours outside Philadelphia, welcomed Ryan Howard where he did not as well as we thought he would. He played seven minor league games as was only 10-20. Shout out to everyone that will be at the Philadelphia Phillies game Friday night witnessing the debut of Ryan Howard! (aka ME!)
Ryan Howard Might Have a Strong Impact in Debut
Currently, the Phillies are last place in the National League East. Unfortunately, they’ve taken on negative energy and can’t seem to get a W. Now that Howard is back, they might have a better chance of moving up in the standings.
Ryan Howard still leads the majors with 262 home runs for six seasons straight. Guess who’s closest to passing his record? Los Angeles Angels, former St. Louis Cardinals standout Albert Pujols. Pujols hasn’t done so well this season, took him almost a month to get settled and start crackin’ those home runs.
