Ryan Vogelsong Makes Waves for Game 7

Ryan Vogelsong, starting pitcher for the San Francisco Giants, was the main reason the St. Louis Cardinals aren’t heading to the World Series against the Detroit Tigers. The National League Championship Series has been a whirlwind. Cardinals are the defending champions so everyone expects them to win again. The Giants are putting up a fight. Sunday night the Giants tied up the series instead of losing the chance to move on.
Vogelsong is 14-9, 3.37 ERA and 158 strikeouts in the 2012 season. He’s been a powerhouse. Yet, the Cardinals haven’t lost a Game 7 yet. The Giants fans pushed the energy of the players to win the game.
For Game 7 Monday night, the Cardinals take on the Giants at 8 p.m. in at AT&T Park in San Fran. Starting pitchers will be Matt Cain (0-1, 4.05 ERA) and Kyle Lohse (2-0, 1.96 ERA).
