The defending Super Bowl Champions stumbled at the gates entering the 2012. The New York Giants had disappointing loss to their NFC East rivals the Dallas Cowboys. Giants were no were their Super Bowl form, Cowboys were in control of the game. They went on to lose the Cowboys 24-17, with the game not as close as the score would indicate.
Against The Buccaneers
Week 2 start to look like a repeat of the loss to the Cowboys in first half. The Giants trailed 24-13 to the Bucs after forced Eli Manning into 3 interceptions in the second quarter. Manning then put those missteps behind him and went to put up a career high in 510 passing yards. Manning’s second half performance help the Giants make a 41-34 comeback win. As well as be another signature late game rally from Eli Manning.
Against the Panthers
The New York Giants came out the gate in this game with confidence, scoring on their first drive. After the opening drive the Giants did not relent, beating the Panthers 36-7.
